Honda Civic Texas Tour

The stars at night are big and bright - deep in the heart of Honda. As the Honda Civic Tour continues rolling through our nation, stopping this time in Texas, bands such as The Black Eyed Peas and Tegan and Sara rock the stage - while potential car buyers head over to the Honda tents, checking out the all new Honda Civic, Civic Hybrid and CR-Z Sports Hybrid.

The upcoming 2011 Honda Civic Hybrid attracted much of the foot traffic. People are already very familiar with Civic's name - and a hybrid version just sweetens the deal.

Honda's Hybrid Civic variants gets an estimated 43 miles per gallon according to the EPA. That's with the help of a 110 horsepower, 8-Valve SOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine.

Honda's new Civic appeals to the younger generation of car buyers with their USB audio interface options and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, which is voice recognition ready.

The Civic Hybrid was named one of the "Greenest Vehicles of 2010" by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE).

2011's CR-Z, what Honda is calling the world's first "Sports Hybrid" features a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine and 10-kilowatt brushless electric motor. The sport hybrid gets a government fuel rating of 39 miles per gallon on the highway for the automatic, 37 mpg for a six-speed manual transmission.
